The very first question I asked Ki-Won (older brother) was, “For my own health, are there any health conditions I should be aware of? Any disease or cancer run in the family?”

Ki-Won got back to me with an answer. One of the grandfathers and great-grandfathers died of liver cancer. One of the grandmothers died of “large intestine cancer”. I’m guessing Ki-Won meant colon cancer. My birth father has diabetes. I do not.

So, in my mind, it appears everything is manageable. Ki-Won said there was alcoholism, with the men, in the family. Thankfully, I don’t have any vices like that and it sounds like the other siblings and parents don’t either.
